About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our inpatient mental health psychology service, you will work closely with psychologists, psychiatrists, junior doctors, OTs, nurses, social workers, and physiotherapists to provide high-quality care to adults with mental health difficulties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver different forms of psychological interventions to patients recovering from an episode of mental health illness in either an individual or group setting.
  • Support and enhance the professional psychological care of adults with a mental health diagnosis, working across all sectors of care.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and provide interventions under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist.
  • Assist in clinically-related administration, conducting audits, collecting data and statistics, developing audit and/or research projects, teaching, and project work.
Requirements
  • An upper-second class honours degree or higher in psychology.
  • Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Experience of working with adults with mental health difficulties.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to patients, families, and other professionals.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • A Master's degree and/or enrolled in a Master's course recognised by the British Psychological Society.
  • Experience of working in inpatient mental health settings.
  • Experience of completing risk assessments.
  • Experience of psychometric testing, scoring, and report writing.
