About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Safety Pharmacist to join our team at Sciensus, a leading life sciences business specializing in patient access, engagement, and insight solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead our efforts in improving incident reporting for medication errors and medical devices
  • Promote safe medication practices and ensure top-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement strategies for medication safety, working closely with managers, pharmacists, and nurses
  • Represent Sciensus in local and national safety networks
  • Manage incident reporting, conduct root cause analyses, and produce detailed, actionable reports
  • Develop patient safety training materials and SOPs, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all processes

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree in Pharmacy
  • Registered with the GPhC and completion of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as per guidelines
  • Significant experience working as a pharmacist in a community or hospital environment
  • Experience working within clinical governance and medication safety
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to influence decision making with key stakeholders
  • Experience of change management
  • Familiar with the National Reporting & Learning System (NRLS), NRLS coding, and Yellow card reporting scheme
  • Never Event Policy and Framework
  • Serious incident Framework
