Position Overview:
A prominent and respected organization is currently in search of a dedicated Appointments Advisor to enhance their operational team.

Employment Type:
This is a full-time, permanent role with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, operating Monday to Friday with varied shifts from 9 AM to 7 PM, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM on a rotational basis.

Compensation:
The role offers a competitive salary of £23,288 annually.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Appointments Advisor, your primary duties will include:

  • Managing all incoming calls to ensure a seamless transition for patients from initial inquiries to follow-up appointments.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all interactions to maximize the value derived from patient inquiries.
  • Providing efficient and empathetic responses to all inquiries via telephone and email, working diligently to resolve patient concerns.
  • Proactively guiding patients through their care pathway, ensuring all consultations, investigations, procedures, and reviews are scheduled appropriately.
  • Processing and booking referrals within designated timeframes.
  • Coordinating surgical procedures while adhering to specific timelines.
  • Ensuring all patient treatment records are meticulously maintained and up to date.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across various departments to enhance patient care.

Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C, including Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications.
  • 6 to 12 months of experience in customer service.
  • Proficient IT skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • A solid understanding of the Data Protection Act and the importance of confidentiality.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities and effective communication skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals, including medical professionals, colleagues, and patients.
  • A keen attention to detail and reliability in conveying accurate information.
