Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Appointments Advisor to support our operations in a reputable healthcare organization.

Employment Type:
This is a full-time, permanent role with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, operating Monday to Friday with varying shifts from 9 AM to 7 PM, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM on a rotational basis.

Compensation:
The role offers a competitive salary of £23,288 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Appointments Advisor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all incoming calls to ensure a seamless transition for patients from initial inquiries to follow-up appointments.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all interactions to maximize the value of patient inquiries.
  • Providing efficient and empathetic responses to all inquiries via telephone and email.
  • Proactively managing the Patients' Pathway to ensure timely bookings for consultations, investigations, procedures, and reviews.
  • Processing and scheduling all referrals within designated time frames.
  • Coordinating surgical procedures while ensuring adherence to specific timelines.
  • Ensuring that all patient treatment records are precise and up-to-date.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across various teams to enhance patient care.

Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C, including Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications.
  • 6 to 12 months of experience in customer service.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • An understanding of the Data Protection Act and the importance of confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse range of individuals, including medical professionals, colleagues, and patients.
  • A keen attention to detail and reliability in conveying accurate information.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong customer service skills, administrative capabilities, and a commitment to enhancing patient experiences.
