Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Appointments Advisor to support our operations in a reputable healthcare organization.
Employment Type:
This is a full-time, permanent role with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, operating Monday to Friday with varying shifts from 9 AM to 7 PM, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM on a rotational basis.
Compensation:
The role offers a competitive salary of £23,288 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Appointments Advisor, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing all incoming calls to ensure a seamless transition for patients from initial inquiries to follow-up appointments.
- Maintaining accurate records of all interactions to maximize the value of patient inquiries.
- Providing efficient and empathetic responses to all inquiries via telephone and email.
- Proactively managing the Patients' Pathway to ensure timely bookings for consultations, investigations, procedures, and reviews.
- Processing and scheduling all referrals within designated time frames.
- Coordinating surgical procedures while ensuring adherence to specific timelines.
- Ensuring that all patient treatment records are precise and up-to-date.
- Collaborating with colleagues across various teams to enhance patient care.
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C, including Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications.
- 6 to 12 months of experience in customer service.
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure.
- An understanding of the Data Protection Act and the importance of confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with a diverse range of individuals, including medical professionals, colleagues, and patients.
- A keen attention to detail and reliability in conveying accurate information.
