Position Overview:
A distinguished and reputable organization is currently in search of a Patient Coordination Specialist to enhance their operational team.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with varying shifts from 9 AM to 7 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM on a rotational basis.

The annual salary for this position is £23,288.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Coordination Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Managing all incoming calls to the organization, ensuring a seamless transition for patients from initial inquiries through to discharge and follow-up appointments.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all interactions to maximize the value derived from patient inquiries.
  • Providing efficient and empathetic responses to all inquiries via telephone and email, while actively working to resolve patient concerns.
  • Following up on inquiries proactively via phone and email.
  • Ensuring that consultations, investigations, procedures, and reviews are scheduled appropriately along the Patients' Pathway.
  • Processing and booking all referrals within designated time frames.
  • Coordinating surgical procedures within specified timelines.
  • Ensuring all patient treatment records are precise and current.
  • Liaising effectively with colleagues across various teams.

Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C, including Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications.
  • 6 to 12 months of experience in customer service.
  • Excellent IT skills with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • A solid understanding of the Data Protection Act and the significance of confidentiality.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and effective communication skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals, including medical professionals, colleagues, and patients.
  • A keen attention to detail and reliability in conveying accurate information.
