Position:
Procurement / Purchasing Coordinator Hours: 37 hours per week (Permanent) (flexible hours between 7am - 7pm with an early finish on Fridays)

Salary:
£28,000 per annum from day one, plus two performance bonuses

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Purchasing Administration Manager, the Procurement Coordinator will be tasked with sourcing essential materials and products required for the organization.

As a member of a dedicated team, you will collaborate closely with vendors to ensure compliance with quality and delivery expectations.


Key Responsibilities:
Manage procurement activities and place daily orders with vendors.
Monitor outstanding deliveries and expedite as necessary.
Engage in and oversee Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes.
Conduct annual reviews of supplier contracts and initiate cost-saving strategies.
Create and maintain supplier information and part numbers within a computerized system.
Negotiate pricing, product quality, and delivery timelines with vendors.
Oversee supplier contracts and ensure all documentation is accurate and current.
Develop delivery schedules in collaboration with suppliers.
Handle non-conformance claims and coordinate with suppliers for replacements when required.
Identify and cultivate suitable suppliers for new and existing product materials.
Address technical issues with suppliers promptly to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Execute administrative tasks, including maintaining departmental records and updating the approved suppliers list.
Generate Excel reports to track supplier expenditure and performance against established KPIs.

Education and Experience:
GCSE Maths and English grade 4 or above, or equivalent.
Experience in procurement and administrative roles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Familiarity with ERP systems and managing transitions; experience with Fourth Shift and SAP is advantageous.
