As the Deputy Catering Manager, you will oversee daily catering operations across various outlets within the venue. Your role will also involve supporting a diverse array of hospitality events and conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately forecast and report financial data, collaborating with the Catering Manager to enhance profitability.
  • Implement and manage health and safety policies, ensuring all team members are trained and compliant.
  • Proactively manage resources and adapt to business changes, including overseeing the temporary labor budget.
  • Train and develop team members to meet current and future business needs.
  • Act as the Catering Manager in their absence.
  • Monitor and ensure the delivery of high standards, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Handle complaints effectively by investigating issues and coordinating with customers and staff.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills to foster high morale and motivation among staff.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members appropriately.
  • Ensure staff receive comprehensive training and support in their roles.
  • Supervise temporary staff, addressing disciplinary matters and managing attendance.
  • Ensure all pre-arranged goods and services are delivered to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the temporary labor budget effectively.
  • Participate in sales meetings to identify opportunities for new concepts in retail and hospitality.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in a multifaceted catering environment or a junior management role.
  • Ability to perform under pressure with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong verbal and written communication skills.
