As the Deputy Catering Manager, you will oversee daily catering functions across various outlets within our venue. Your role will also encompass supporting a diverse array of hospitality events and conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately forecast and report financial data in alignment with established deadlines, collaborating with the Catering Manager to enhance profitability.
  • Implement and manage health and safety policies, ensuring all team members are trained and compliant.
  • Proactively manage resources, adapting to business changes, including overseeing the temporary labor budget.
  • Lead, train, and develop team members to meet current and future business needs.
  • Act as the point of contact for the Catering Manager in their absence.
  • Monitor and ensure the delivery of service standards, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  • Handle complaints effectively, working with customers and staff to determine necessary actions.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills to foster high morale and motivation among staff.
  • Delegate duties and responsibilities to team members appropriately.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for staff, identifying training needs and providing hands-on support as necessary.
  • Supervise temporary staff, focusing on their long-term development and addressing disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure all pre-arranged goods and services are delivered to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the temporary labor budget effectively.
  • Participate in sales meetings to identify opportunities for innovative retail and hospitality concepts.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in a multifaceted catering environment or in a junior management role.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong numerical and verbal communication skills.
