Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Perinatal Mental Health Service as a Community Staff Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients experiencing moderate to severe symptoms of illness during the perinatal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the assessment and management of patients referred to our service, including risk identification and implementation of evidence-based treatment and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, carers, and other health professionals to provide individualized care and support.
  • Supervise the practice of student nurses and other disciplines, and participate in the development of clinical policies and standards.
  • Be an active participant in our Perinatal Advice Line, providing consultancy services to other health professionals on perinatal mental health issues.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification and current NMC UK pin.
  • Experience working in a perinatal mental health setting or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
