About the Role

The Mental Health Practitioner will work across Glasgow schools and communities to build the mental health knowledge and skills of children, young people, parents, carers, volunteers and staff through mental health capacity building workshops, training programmes, information sessions and resources.

Delivery will also include individual and group work support to young people who are experiencing low mood and anxiety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver mental health capacity building workshops, training programmes, information sessions and resources to children, young people, parents, carers, volunteers and staff.
  • Provide individual and group work support to young people who are experiencing low mood and anxiety.
  • Work flexibly to deliver a wide range of programmes on offer, ensuring practice is of the highest quality at all times.
  • Manage own case load and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering individual support and group work to young people around their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Experience in workshop facilitation, training delivery and development.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
  • A driving licence and access to a car is essential for this post.
