About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children and Young People Practitioner to join our team at Scottish Action for Mental Health. As a key member of our team, you will work across Glasgow schools and communities to build mental health knowledge and skills of children, young people, parents, carers, volunteers, and staff through mental health capacity building workshops, training programs, information sessions, and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group work support to young people experiencing low mood and anxiety
  • Facilitate mental health capacity building workshops, training programs, and information sessions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, communities, and stakeholders to promote mental health awareness and support
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high-quality practice and effective service delivery

  • Funded continuous learning and development opportunities
  • 30 days annual leave rising to 33 after 5 years' service (pro-rata)
