About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. You will be working in the AMH Neighbourhood Mental Health Services (NMHS) in Redditch/Worcestershire, where you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive mental health services to patients.
As a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a range of mental health conditions. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose patients with mental health conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Provide high-quality psychological services to patients, including individual and group therapy sessions
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). You will also need to be working towards registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to have a strong understanding of psychological theories and interventions, as well as the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
