About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to patients with a range of mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of service policies and procedures
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices

Requirements
  • Hold a BSc/BA Honours degree in Psychology and be in the final year of a Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology
  • Be working towards registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) with the British Psychological Society and as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Have experience of working with patients with complex mental health needs and a strong understanding of psychological theories and interventions
  • Be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
