Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to patients with varying levels of complexity and aetiology.
Key Responsibilities- Behave consistently with and promote the values of the trust
- Adhere to HCPC practice guidelines and professional training specific guidelines
- Implement the psychology provision guidelines and trust policies
- Evaluate referrals, undertake assessments, treatment, and management of patients with psychological difficulties
The ideal candidate will be in their final year of professional training and prior to becoming registered as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with the HCPC. They will be employed on a fixed-term basis as a Band 6 Trainee Clinical/Counselling Psychologist and will be supported to evaluate referrals, undertake assessments, treatment, and management of patients with psychological difficulties.
Upon HCPC registration, the post will be upgraded to a permanent Band 7 Clinical/Counselling Psychologist position. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality psychological services and contribute to the development of the trust's psychology provision.
