The Supply Resilience Directorate plays a pivotal role in overseeing DHSC's initiatives related to supply management, fostering a strategic approach in collaboration with governmental bodies, the NHS, and industry partners. Our focus is on addressing challenges and disruptions in the supply of essential medicines and medical products while promoting long-term strategic resilience.

Role Description

We are seeking a Grade 7 Senior Policy Advisor to join the Supply Engagement and Policy team. This position offers a unique chance to engage in a fast-paced and challenging environment within the Supply Resilience Directorate, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of critical medical products.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading initiatives to identify and assess risks associated with supply continuity and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Supporting the Supply Resilience Director in addressing immediate supply challenges while fostering long-term resilience.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to enhance supply chain robustness and promote awareness of supply resilience in broader policy discussions.

Your primary workplace will be determined by your contractual agreement, typically located in major urban centers. The DHSC supports hybrid working arrangements, with an expectation of at least 60% of your working hours spent in the office to facilitate collaboration and team engagement.
