Position: Second Line Support Technician
Location: Fareham, Hampshire (Onsite 5 days a week)
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum.

Shift Schedule: 8:00AM - 3:00PM and 3:30PM - 10:30PM

Are you an enthusiastic Second Line Support Technician looking to make a significant impact in the IT sector? This role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively with dedicated professionals, focusing on identifying and addressing security requirements and risks associated with service design, delivery, and implementation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving various IT-related issues, providing effective solutions, and escalating complex problems to the 2nd and 3rd line support teams as necessary. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions using our Support Works ticketing system, ensuring minimal disruption to services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of IT support and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on teamwork. A willingness to learn and enhance your skills is essential, as this is a developmental role.
  • Manage and assign Service Desk Support Calls as required.
  • Travel to various locations to provide support to customers.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, Splunk, and VMware is essential.
