About the Role

The City & County of Swansea is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Officer to join our Highways and Transportation department. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional administrative support and technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Highways Technical Support team, including data entry, document management, and record-keeping.
  • Deal with the public, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with the coordination of work actions and provide technical support to site-based staff.
  • Develop and maintain databases and other systems to support the team's work.
  • Contribute to the development of processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Excellent administration skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong communication and team working skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy office environment.
  • Previous administrative experience in an office environment, with a strong understanding of data management and record-keeping.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office systems and other software applications.
  • Desirable: Welsh language skills and experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
