Position Overview:
The Another Planet Entertainment (APE) Club Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in the development and execution of marketing strategies, advertising initiatives, and promotional activities for concerts at designated APE venues. This position collaborates closely with artist marketing teams to create impactful marketing plans and strategically place media to effectively reach target audiences, ultimately driving ticket sales. The Club Marketing Manager will maintain ongoing communication with the APE Marketing team and report directly to the Directors of Marketing. This role demands proficiency in managing and tracking advertising budgets, with a solid understanding of genre-specific marketing practices and the ability to oversee multiple budgets simultaneously. Additionally, this position is responsible for the social media direction and management of select APE venue channels. A background in the music industry is essential, and familiarity with APE venues is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for select venues, including The Independent and Bimbo's 365 Club.
  • Create and execute advertising plans across various platforms (radio, digital, OOH, print) for assigned venues.
  • Manage the trafficking and execution of all media buys.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing materials for designated shows.
  • Maintain and monitor advertising budgets from announcement through to the event date.
  • Act as the primary contact for artist teams regarding marketing communications for each show.
  • Coordinate media relations with artist PR teams, ensuring compliance with venue policies.
  • Design and distribute email communications, including newsletters and updates to ticket purchasers.
  • Organize and track promotional giveaways in collaboration with external partners.
  • Manage social media accounts for select venues.
  • Assist with media escorting duties at various APE concert venues as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within the music sector.
  • Experience in media buying and the development of strategic media plans.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing tools.
  • Creative skills and experience in social media management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational, research, and project management abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and SEM practices.

  • Passion for live music and a solid understanding of the music industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships.
  • Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and project management tools.

SALARY: $65,000 – $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
