Position Overview:
Cook - 30 hours per week, covering three days over seven.

We are currently seeking a Second Chef to enhance our Hospitality team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver exceptional hotel and restaurant standards without the demands of split shifts and extended hours.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate culinary professionals who prioritize quality and high standards to provide personalized hospitality to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that all stages of food preparation are maintained to the highest standards, prioritizing the well-being of residents.

2. Oversee the cooking and serving of meals in accordance with the menu and company requirements.

3. Ensure compliance with Food Safety & Hygiene Regulations.

4. Maintain the quality of meals in terms of presentation and taste.

5. Implement portion control procedures to minimize waste.

6. Address individual dietary requirements by following appropriate charts and recipes or adapting dishes as necessary.


7. Maintain necessary systems and checks to provide a safe, healthy, and efficient working environment.

8. Ensure proper storage of food and other items.

9. Monitor stock levels, maintain effective stock rotation, and place orders as needed.

10. Assume responsibilities of the Head Chef when required.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in a catering environment.
- NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Equivalent.
- Food Hygiene Level 2.
- Team player with a strong understanding of special dietary and nutritional requirements.
- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Satisfactory police check and check against the ISA list (where applicable).
- Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
