Franchise Development Manager

Cole & Yates Recruitment Ltd is seeking a driven and experienced Franchise Business Development Manager to join our client, one of the UK's leading providers of grounds maintenance services.
Our client operates across diverse sectors including retail, facilities management, local authorities, corporate commercial facilities, hotels and leisure, education, infrastructure, highways, social housing, sports, healthcare, emergency services, Ministry of Defence, and utilities. With a nationwide presence spanning 40 locations, employing over 600 team members, they deliver grounds maintenance services to more than 10,000 sites annually.
As the Franchise Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and growing our client's franchise network. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Acting as the primary point of contact between franchise business owners and Head Office.
- Ensuring allocated franchisees adhere to operational best practices and company standards.
- Driving the continued growth and development of the franchise network through strategic initiatives and support.
- Collaborating with fellow Franchise Business Development Managers to optimize franchise performance and share knowledge.
- Analyzing sales processes, financial performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights and guidance to franchise owners.
- Assisting franchisees in securing new clients by accompanying them on appointments and providing expert advice.
- Delivering in-house training programs on systems and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Mentoring and coaching franchisees, supporting field training, developing business plans, identifying growth opportunities, and resolving operational challenges.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscape services.
- A background in operations management, contract management, business development, or franchise ownership within the grounds maintenance sector.
- Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of operational best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
