Job Title: Reintegration Support Specialist at Via Westminster Drug Project

Position Overview

  • This position provides an opportunity to assist individuals reintegrating into society after incarceration, offering guidance and support in a vibrant service aimed at fostering positive transformations in their lives.
  • Utilizing a compassionate, recovery-focused methodology, you will be instrumental in recognizing and enhancing the strengths and choices of each person.
  • As a member of the Via team, you will benefit from a nurturing atmosphere, comprehensive training, peer collaboration, and consistent supervision to excel in a forward-thinking service environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional support to individuals transitioning from incarceration and seeking assistance for substance use and complex challenges.
  • Work in partnership with the clinical team, counselors, and other specialists to provide holistic care for service users.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the obstacles faced by individuals dealing with substance use and associated health concerns.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, implement interventions, and facilitate various group activities as part of the recovery journey.
  • Engage in a variety of tasks that ensure a dynamic and fulfilling work experience each day.
  • Completion of necessary vetting procedures is a prerequisite for this role.

  • This role is integral to Via's innovative criminal justice service framework, contributing to the enhancement of existing service capabilities and promoting positive outcomes under a new initiative.
  • Having recently expanded services to include Adult Drug and Alcohol Programs, Via offers an environment conducive to professional growth and meaningful impact.
