Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Attendance Administrator to join our team at U-Educate. As an Attendance Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the senior leadership team to track student attendance and welfare throughout the school day.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze daily student attendance records to identify patterns of absences or tardiness.
  • Communicate with parents or guardians regarding unexplained student absences and arrange meetings as necessary.
  • Develop and implement attendance improvement plans for students with chronic absenteeism.
  • Liaise with teachers, school counselors, and administrators to address and support students' attendance issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports on student attendance for school records and compliance with state laws.
  • Provide high-quality, well-planned pastoral support and guidance to pupils and families to promote high expectations, raise aspirations, and facilitate academic progress.
  • Verify attendance of students at Alternative Provision.
  • Update attendance records and ensure accurate data entry.
  • Ensure that all administration, data input, and analysis in relation to student attendance are completed to an exceptionally high standard.

Requirements

  • A positive and committed individual who will take responsibility for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our children throughout the school day.
  • Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (candidates can undertake a free course with U-Educate if they do not have a safeguarding certificate dated from 2023).
  • Secondary school experience is preferred but not essential.
