Job Overview

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the lifecycle of IT assets within the organization, ensuring optimal utilization and maintenance of all technology-related equipment, including laptops, monitors, and other essential supplies. This position is critical in aligning asset management with the strategic objectives of the company.

Asset Inventory and Tracking
  • Ensure the maintenance of a precise and current inventory of all IT assets.
  • Monitor the movement and location of assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations to verify data accuracy in collaboration with external vendors.
Procurement and Deployment of Assets
  • Work closely with procurement teams to secure necessary IT assets.
  • Facilitate the timely deployment and configuration of hardware and software for end-users through third-party services.
  • Oversee the processes for asset tagging and registration.

Lifecycle Oversight

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal.
  • Plan and oversee asset refresh cycles and upgrades, anticipating needs for new hires.
  • Ensure the compliant decommissioning and disposal of outdated or damaged assets, adhering to environmental and data security standards.
Financial Oversight
  • Analyze and monitor expenses related to IT assets.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through effective asset utilization and procurement practices.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for the acquisition and maintenance of IT assets.
Policy Formulation and Compliance
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for IT asset management as required.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and support to staff on best practices in asset management.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Generate and validate regular reports on asset status, utilization, and lifecycle metrics with assistance from third-party ITAM operations.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends, risks, and areas for enhancement.
  • Present insights and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
Vendor and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Maintain effective relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ascertain asset requirements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Innovation and Automation
  • Contribute to the development of use cases for automation, leveraging advanced AI capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient understanding of IT hardware, software, networking, and systems administration.
  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Detail Orientation: High level of meticulousness in asset tracking and management.
