About the Role

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organization, is seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Financial Services Manager to lead the delivery of financial services for adults. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies and policies for adult social care services.
  • Ensure the effective management of financial assessments, direct payments, and debt recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with the finance and income teams to develop and implement an ASC Debt Recovery Policy.
  • Manage complex cases, applying discretion and judgment in relation to policy guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including service users, staff, and external partners.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for services, including community and residential care financial assessments, deferred payments, direct payments, and independent personal budgets.
  • Ensure financial assessment decisions are in line with statutory guidance.
  • Manage staff to ensure verification and validation of capital assets and benefit maximisation.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate level education and substantial management experience in adult social care financial assessment/charging environment.
  • Experience of leading transformation and implementation of brokerage functions within adult social care.
  • Working knowledge of Mosaic and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record in developing staff and improving performance.
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and communicate complex advice on legal and/or financial issues.
  • High level of strategic planning and organizational skills, including forward planning and forecasting.
What We Offer

Venesky-Brown's client offers a competitive rate of £346.15 PAYE - £450 umbrella for this initial month contract. The role will be hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office per week.
