Spinwell is recruiting for an Adults Social Care Financial Services Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ADULTS SOCIAL CARE FINANCIAL SERVICES MANAGER


The role will be to lead on the transformation of the ASC finance systems and processes as well as manage the finance team.

The person will need to have an understanding of ASC financial processes and duties under the Care Act

The person will need to have had experience of leading transformation and implementation of Brokerage functions within ASC

The person will work closely with commissioning colleagues

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE ADULTS SOCIAL CARE FINANCIAL SERVICES MANAGER

The Council uses Mosaic, so a working knowledge of Mosaic would be extremely helpful.


Educated to graduate level and/or substantial management experience at a senior level within an Adult Social Care financial assessment and charging environment.

Working knowledge of relevant legislation and their implications for this specific area of work.

Excellent working knowledge of the political landscape, legislative frameworks, and regional and national drivers surrounding the area of specialism.


Knowledge and experience of assessing the financial viability of service delivery models, benchmarking services, undertaking options appraisals, evaluating alternative options to ascertain if services continue to deliver value for money.


Experience of maximising the Councils income through efficient and accurate processing of caseloads, applying performance management techniques to monitor productivity and quality of staff work.
