Job Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity to join the Barts Health therapies team, working across various locations, including community respiratory services. We seek a skilled band 5 or established band 6 physiotherapist with experience in diverse acute care settings.

Experience can be acquired in the following areas:

  • Adult Critical Care, including major trauma and neurosurgical cases
  • Cardiovascular pathways at a leading heart center, including complex cardio-thoracic procedures
  • General surgical care, focusing on upper gastrointestinal and hepato-biliary surgery
  • Acute specialist respiratory medicine
  • Community management of pulmonary and cardiovascular conditions
  • Regional long-term ventilation and complex care
  • Cystic fibrosis management

Applicants should possess strong clinical competencies and a holistic approach to patient care, grounded in evidence-based practices. We provide excellent opportunities for clinical supervision, managerial development, and educational programs in collaboration with our education academy.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing, developing, and delivering a high-quality physiotherapy service for a diverse range of in-patients.

• Work within a multicultural environment, enhancing experience across specialized physiotherapy areas through a structured rotation.

• Deliver specialized physiotherapeutic interventions using advanced assessment and treatment skills.

• Contribute to the advancement of evidence-based practices and clinical effectiveness during rotations.

• Participate in the emergency and on-call rota across the healthcare sites as required.

  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registration

Desirable Criteria

  • Membership in the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Membership in a relevant Special Interest Group
  • Postgraduate courses relevant to the clinical field

Experience

  • A broad range of postgraduate experience, including respiratory, neuro-sciences, and musculoskeletal
  • Understanding of clinical governance and its implications for service delivery
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in an acute healthcare setting
