We are pleased to announce a unique opportunity within the North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) for a skilled Lead Systemic Family Therapist specializing in Behaviour and Conduct Pathways. This role is integral to our dynamic multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents.

As a key member of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), you will be responsible for implementing systemic interventions aligned with established care pathways and NICE guidelines. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for children and adolescents facing complex mental health challenges.

Main Responsibilities

In your capacity as the Family Therapy Lead, you will:

  1. Provide expert systemic assessments for complex referrals, ensuring a thorough understanding of each child's unique needs.
  2. Facilitate multi-family therapy sessions and lead systemic family therapy clinics, employing evidence-based interventions.
  3. Deliver training, consultation, and supervision to colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment focused on best practices.
  4. Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAMHS services through active participation in service development initiatives.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation and care plans, ensuring compliance with Trust protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A post-graduate qualification in systemic family therapy, registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
  • A minimum of four years of demonstrable experience in mental health or social welfare settings.
  • Strong clinical skills in psychological assessment and treatment across various care environments.
