About the Role
NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a skilled Waiting List Scheduler to manage in-patient waiting lists and provide administrative support to Surgeons/Associate Specialists and Staff Grades across three sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage waiting lists and provide administrative support to theatre teams
- Coordinate with surgeons and staff to ensure efficient use of theatre time
- Develop and maintain accurate records and reports
- Provide excellent communication and organisational skills
Requirements
- HNC/SVQ111 in secretarial studies or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Medical Secretary
- Proficient in software systems and advanced keyboard skills
- Medical terminology and good organisational skills
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of treatment time guarantee (TTG)
- Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
Working Arrangements
This role will be based in Surgical & Critical Care within University Hospital Hairmyres, with a working pattern of Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
