Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within educational environments.
  • Execute personalized education plans as outlined by the SEN Coordinator or teacher.
  • Assist students with academic assignments, personal care, and social inclusion.
  • Encourage students to foster independence and self-assurance in their educational journey.
  • Collaborate with educators and external specialists to secure optimal outcomes for students.
Essential Qualifications:
  • At least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children or young individuals with SEN.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding protocols and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Educational Background:

Relevant teaching assistant qualification required.

Experience Required:

Prior experience in supporting SEN students is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Comprehension of SEN requirements and effective strategies for educational support.
  • Capability to function efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Training in specific SEN strategies or interventions.
Working Environment:

This position involves working in educational settings, potentially addressing challenging behaviors and personal care responsibilities. Candidates must be prepared to undergo a DBS check.
