Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Collaborating with the classroom teacher to design and execute customized educational activities
  • Providing individualized support to students with SEN to assist them in reaching their academic objectives
  • Contributing to a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere
  • Supporting the personal care and overall well-being of students with SEN
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in SEN support
  • Familiarity with SEN methodologies and best practices
Educational Background:
  • Qualification as a SEN teaching assistant or equivalent
Experience Required:
  • Experience in working with students who have Special Educational Needs
  • Experience in addressing individual learning requirements
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Comprehensive understanding of SEN principles and practices
  • Effective communication skills with students, educators, and guardians
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • Capacity to work cooperatively within a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced qualifications in Education or Special Educational Needs
  • Training in safeguarding and child welfare
Work Environment:
  • Primarily within an educational institution
  • Full-time hours on a temporary basis
