Position Overview:Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating the educational, social, and emotional growth of students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Assisting the lead educator in crafting and implementing customized lesson plans for SEN students
  • Providing individualized support to learners with SEN to help them meet their academic objectives
  • Fostering a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere for SEN students
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, families, and external organizations to enhance the overall development of SEN learners
Essential Qualifications:
  • At least GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience in supporting children or young individuals with SEN
  • Familiarity with SEN policies and practices
Educational Background:

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification

Experience Required:

Prior experience in a similar capacity within an educational environment

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Awareness of diverse learning needs and effective strategies to assist SEN students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Qualification specific to SEN
  • First Aid training
Work Environment:

This position involves working within a school environment, providing support to students with SEN during school hours. Participation in occasional meetings outside of standard hours may be required.

All stated pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
