Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting students with special educational needs (SEN) within the classroom setting
  • Supporting educators in executing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Providing personalized assistance to children with SEN
  • Fostering a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, families, and other specialists to enhance student development
Essential Qualifications:
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification
  • Experience in supporting children with special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding protocols
Educational Background:

Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics

Experience Requirements:

Prior experience in a classroom environment is necessary

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Awareness of various types of SEN and effective support strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Demonstrated patience and empathy when engaging with children with SEN
Preferred Credentials:
  • First Aid certification
  • Mental Health First Aid training
Work Environment:

This position involves working within a classroom, providing essential support to children with special educational needs. The role may present emotional challenges, yet it offers a fulfilling opportunity to positively influence the educational journey of students with SEN.
