Position Overview

Special Educational Needs Support Assistant - Educational Institution

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Support Assistant to join our team. This role involves working within a specialized educational environment, catering to students with a diverse range of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist in the classroom under the guidance of teaching staff and senior personnel.
  • Provide effective support to learners with both verbal and non-verbal Autism, ensuring their individual needs and schedules are met.
  • Utilize a minimum of 12 months of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Engage with children who have special educational needs, including those with ASD, communication challenges, and sensory processing difficulties.
  • Demonstrate a general understanding of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Apply knowledge of learning interventions such as PECS or MAKATON to enhance student engagement.
Compensation and Support

We offer competitive remuneration, with weekly earnings ranging from £450 to £475 (AWR Compliant). Additionally, our institution provides:
