Role Overview:

Career Teachers is in search of dedicated and empathetic Special Educational Needs Support Assistants to become part of a dynamic and nurturing educational environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting students with diverse special educational needs, enabling them to reach their maximum potential in a secure and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small group assistance to students with special educational needs.
  • Support the classroom educator in designing and executing customized lessons and activities.
  • Implement personalized education plans (PEPs) and track student development.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and external specialists to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Maintain precise documentation of student progress and report findings to the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and teaching staff.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children or adolescents with special educational needs is essential.

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young individuals.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with specific special educational needs conditions such as autism, ADHD, or physical disabilities is preferred.

  • Training in manual handling or personal care is advantageous.
