About the Role

Vistry Group PLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Reading, Berkshire. As a key member of our Commercial Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the quantity surveying functions, including the procurement of subcontracts and the negotiation of contracts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Maximize profitability by ensuring that all contractual procedures are followed and that the company's strategic objectives are met.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director to identify and resolve any contractual issues that may arise during the project.
  • Provide regular cost value reports and margin analysis to the Line Management team.
  • Forecast out-turn margin and commercial analysis, and review monthly with the Line Management team.
  • Coordinate cash flow forecasts for each site, and monitor against monthly payments.
  • Ensure that all contractual procedures are followed, and that the company's strategic objectives are met.
  • Monitor and record individual performances on an ongoing basis, and conduct annual appraisals.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified and member of the RICS or CIOB (or moving towards professional membership).
  • Previous experience at Senior or Managing QS or Commercial Manager level is essential for the role.
  • Strong team player, with the entrepreneurial ability to operate and excel in a changing on-site environment.
  • Willing to work extra to meet deadlines as and when the business needs require it.
