Job Overview

Greater Manchester Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Registered Physical Health Nurse to join our dynamic Primary Care Team as a Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring leader to take on a challenging role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall delivery of care to patients within the Primary Care Department.
  • Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate pathways of care.
  • Lead and develop a team of healthcare staff and visiting professionals.
  • Work towards providing the highest standard of care for the prison population.
  • Ensure consistent and effective nursing practice and operational activity.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Registered General Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
  • Professional knowledge to degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant demonstrable post-registration experience.
  • Evidence of working with service users who demonstrate a range of complex needs.
Desirable Criteria

  • Effective operational management skills.
  • Ability to clinically supervise nursing colleagues.
  • Specialist knowledge of nursing procedures.
  • Evidence of health education and promotion.
