Position Overview

The Medical Receiving Unit (MRU) at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust operates as a pivotal component within the acute medical framework. This unit is integral to the emergency care division, catering to medical patients referred directly from general practitioners, urgent care services, and emergency departments, as well as those requiring follow-up assessments post-discharge. Qualifications and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience in acute medicine, SDEC, or emergency departments
  • Proven ability to lead a team effectively

Desirable Criteria

  • Evidence of degree-level education in health or nursing-related fields
  • Previous experience in a SDEC setting
