About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our friendly, award-winning team as Unit Manager at Avery Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Team of Care Professionals: Support the care home management team to deliver high-quality care by providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Enhance Resident Quality of Life: Promote the resident's quality of life through effective care planning, leading to a better overall experience.
  • Manage Staff Support: Lead a team of nurses, senior carers, and carers to provide staff support, including demonstrations and instruction of care activities.
  • Medication Management: Support the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in managing the medication systems and ordering and distributing prescribed medication to residents.
About You

To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.

  • Active NMC PIN: Possess an active NMC PIN.
  • Care Qualifications: Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Experience: At least two years' experience of working within a care home environment.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
