About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our Community Reablement Service. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to adults and older people with a wide range of disabilities and their families/carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the provision of a high-quality expert occupational therapy service to a specialist community caseload.
  • Work within an integrated multidisciplinary Reablement Service, training, supporting, and guiding a range of staff to undertake enhanced roles.
  • Assess and provide occupational therapy, working with users and informal carers in their homes and local communities to promote independent living.
  • Responsible for the clinical and professional supervision, training, and development of all staff working within the Reablement Service.
Requirements
  • BSc degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of ongoing, relevant postgraduate education Leadership training
  • DBS clearance
  • Experience of supervision senior and junior staff, students, and assistants, including HR management
  • Clinical experience in the NHS or similar health service
  • Ability to support others in maintaining health, safety, and security
  • Ability to identify and assess the potential risks involved in work activities and processes for self and others
  • Ability to assess and act against risks and consequences of exposure to users and environments which may be highly distressing, antagonistic, open to aggression, and/or unpleasant to self, users, and others
  • Experience of service redesign and implementing change
  • Previous participation in research
