About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our therapy team at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. As a Band 7 Therapy Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in occupational therapy, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in occupational therapy, including stroke and neurology
  • Develop and implement effective therapy plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Lead and manage a team of occupational therapists, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other departments, including medicine, nursing, and allied health professions, to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to the development of therapy services, including service planning, quality improvement, and research
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, including health and safety, equality, and diversity
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Experience in stroke and neurology, with a strong understanding of complex discharge planning
  • Leadership and management experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Advanced clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to manage complex cases
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly specialist knowledge of current therapy practices, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
