Children's Therapies Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Children's Therapies service. As the Head of Service, you will be responsible for managing and developing our therapy services for children and families, ensuring that we provide high-quality, cost-effective care that meets the needs of our patients.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in one of the Allied Health Professions and experience of managing children's therapy services. You will be responsible for leading a team of therapists and working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that our services are coordinated and effective.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of our children's therapy services strategy
- Manage and develop a team of therapists to ensure that our services are delivered to a high standard
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that our services are coordinated and effective
- Ensure that our services meet the relevant Care Quality Commission standards and contribute to the provision of evidence for assessment for this and for SEND Inspections
- Participate in the Trust's competency framework to ensure that all staff are made aware of, assessed and supported against the core competencies for their grade
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:
- Professional qualification within one of the Allied Health Professions
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development
- Related higher degree or management qualification
- Evidence of management experience of children's therapy services
- Evidence of leading service innovation projects
- Experience of change management
- Experience of multi-disciplinary management and effective MDT working
- Experience of business planning processes
- Evidence of knowledge of community and acute paediatric healthcare
