Job Title: Children's Head of Service

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Children's Therapies team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As the Head of Service, you will be responsible for managing and developing our therapy services for children and families, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in one of the Allied Health Professions and experience in leading children's therapy services. You will be responsible for strategic planning, service development, and quality improvement, working closely with our management team and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our children's therapy services strategy
  • Manage and develop our team of therapists, ensuring they have the skills and support they need to deliver high-quality services
  • Work closely with our management team and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and quality improvement
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring we are using our resources effectively to deliver high-quality services
  • Ensure our services meet the relevant Care Quality Commission standards and contribute to the provision of evidence for assessment and inspections
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who has:

A professional qualification within one of the Allied Health ProfessionsEvidence of continuing professional and personal developmentRelated higher degree or management qualificationEvidence of management experience of children's therapy servicesEvidence of leading service innovation projectsExperience of change managementExperience of multi-disciplinary management and effective MDT workingExperience of business planning processesEvidence of knowledge of community and acute paediatric healthcareWhat We Offer
