Job Title: Occupational Therapy Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Team Lead to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, with a focus on frailty services and acute medical care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of occupational therapy services in the frailty area, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead on clinical governance initiatives, evidence-based practice, and clinical audit, ensuring compliance with national standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement remedial and preventative treatment programs, addressing motor, sensory, cognitive, perceptual, psychological, and occupational areas.
  • Conduct risk assessments, implement risk management strategies, and maintain accurate records.
  • Work closely with medical teams to recognize changes in patient condition and adapt treatment accordingly.
  • Ensure that occupational therapy services are delivered in accordance with local policies, procedures, national standards, and Royal College of Occupational Therapy professional standards and ethics.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication networks with patients, carers, multidisciplinary members, and other agencies.
  • Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of occupational therapy services, holding responsibility for defined projects.
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience of working in Acute Frailty Environment
