Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to provide support and direction in process control and quality management at Excelitas Technologies. The ideal candidate will influence product design, implement Quality Planning and Control activities, and drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company operating procedures and standards.
  • Develop and implement procedures for changing environments and production processes.
  • Support Operations in achieving continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Lead Quality Root Cause and Corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Manage the Material Review Board (MRB) process and nonconformities to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Conduct audits for compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive quality and process improvements.
  • Conduct risk analysis and mitigation to identify and address potential quality issues.

Requirements:

  • Formal education to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant field such as engineering or quality management.
  • Knowledge of quality requirements and standards, including ISO 9001.
  • Engineering background and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in PC applications and software relevant to quality management.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Knowledge of products and processes relevant to precision manufacturing.
  • Auditing experience and quality assurance background in a manufacturing environment.
