Position Overview
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Band Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Cancer Treatment Centre and the Specialist Palliative Care Team. This role involves working collaboratively with Occupational Therapists as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this position; however, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.
Main Responsibilities
The primary focus of this position is on the in-patient ward, with additional responsibilities in the Day Unit, Radiotherapy Unit, and the Specialist Palliative Care Team. A strong understanding of the emotional aspects of this role is crucial. The successful candidate must be skilled in both telephonic and face-to-face communication. Competence in computer usage is essential, as documentation is managed electronically and equipment requisition is conducted through an electronic system.
This role is vital to the team and plays a key part in facilitating the Occupational Therapy services provided to patients in this environment.
