We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our staff, patients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to management and staff.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective risk management strategies.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Monitor and review health and safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to health and safety.
- Relevant degree-level qualification in a health and safety-related field.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Postgraduate qualification in health and safety.
- Relevant membership of a professional health and safety organization.
- Experience of working in a clinical risk assurance environment.
- Experience of investigation techniques and internal and external partnership working.
