Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join a well-established organization in the food production sector, recognized as a leader in the baked goods market.

Role Responsibilities

This position is crucial for enhancing the maintenance department, where you will oversee a team of skilled engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Maintenance Team to ensure all tasks are executed efficiently.
  • Planning and scheduling Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • Managing inventory and procurement of necessary parts.
  • Participating in hands-on troubleshooting during equipment failures to minimize downtime.
Team Leadership

The ideal candidate will have experience in a supervisory role within the food industry, demonstrating the ability to:

  • Inspire and develop the engineering team to implement best practices.
  • Support modifications and continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance protocols.
  • Analyze outcomes to ensure compliance with legal standards.
Project Involvement

Engagement in capital projects and leading specific asset initiatives will be part of your role. The following qualifications are essential:

  • NVQ or equivalent Engineering Qualification.
  • A background in food production.
  • A multi-skilled engineering background, including electrical expertise.
  • Proven experience in managing and motivating engineering teams.
  • Experience with CAPEX and improvement projects.
