Job Overview

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist with expertise in clinical oncology to become a vital member of our senior cancer pharmacy team. This role is a fixed-term position within the Clinical Research Facility (CRF), working closely with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist to enhance our expanding service.

As a premier research institution, you will engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate early-phase clinical trials and optimize service delivery.

As a licensed pharmacist, you will adopt a patient-centered approach to care, overseeing specialized pharmacy services for patients within the CRF. You will partner with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist to refine the pharmacy services for these patients and provide education to pharmacy and multidisciplinary staff regarding innovative treatment options.

The successful candidate will lead, develop, and conduct clinical and operational audits and research within the CRF.

Main Responsibilities

The primary daily responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the daily provision of clinical pharmacy services to the CRF and enhancing the clinical pharmacy pathway.
  • Leading and supporting the initiation and management of early-phase cancer clinical trials.
  • Overseeing and managing amendments related to early-phase cancer clinical trials.
  • Providing highly specialized and complex evidence-based clinical advice and information to the multidisciplinary team regarding the care and treatment of early-phase cancer patients.
  • Delivering and promoting high-quality, cost-effective, patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
  • Supervising cancer pharmacists delivering clinical pharmacy services to the CRF.
  • Facilitating the training and development of cancer pharmacists in the realm of early-phase trials.
