Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Emergency Services

Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist with expertise in clinical oncology to become a key member of our senior pharmacy team. This role is a fixed-term position within the Clinical Research Facility (CRF), where you will collaborate closely with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist to enhance our expanding services.

As a premier research institution, you will work in partnership with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate early-phase clinical trials and optimize service delivery.

As a licensed pharmacist, you will adopt a patient-centered approach to care, managing specialized pharmacy services for patients within the CRF. You will work alongside the Lead Clinical Pharmacist to refine the pharmacy services provided to these patients and educate pharmacy and multidisciplinary staff on innovative treatment options.

The successful candidate will spearhead, develop, and conduct clinical and operational audits and research within the CRF.

Main Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of clinical pharmacy services within the CRF and enhancing the clinical pharmacy pathway.
  • Leading and supporting the initiation and management of early-phase cancer clinical trials.
  • Managing amendments related to early-phase cancer clinical trials.
  • Providing specialized, evidence-based clinical advice and information to the multidisciplinary team regarding the care and treatment of early-phase cancer patients.
  • Delivering and promoting high-quality, cost-effective, patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
  • Supervising cancer pharmacists who provide clinical pharmacy services to the CRF.
  • Facilitating the training and professional development of cancer pharmacists in the area of early-phase trials.
