The individual in this role will be an integral member of the Patient Pathway and Validation Team, tasked with supporting the verification and rectification of data quality concerns related to the Trust's waiting lists. This position is crucial in ensuring a secure and efficient journey for patients by overseeing performance in relation to national waiting time benchmarks.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong drive and enthusiasm, along with prior experience in an administrative capacity. Familiarity with waiting time benchmarks and validation methodologies would be beneficial.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate independently while also collaborating effectively within a team. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the capacity to engage with staff across all levels. Strong organizational abilities and a meticulous attention to detail are critical for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

1. Comprehend the 18-week referral to treatment (RTT) regulations and other associated service objectives, utilizing them to manage all elective cases.
2. Validate waiting lists and monitor patient progress using the EPR+ system in accordance with the established 18-week national guidelines.
3. Ensure proactive management of the patient's journey from the point of referral through to treatment.
4. Communicate any issues related to treatment schedules and potential breaches to the appropriate personnel.
5. Maintain the accuracy of data within the EPR+ system and address any issues arising from user or system errors.
6. Identify and rectify data quality concerns on the EPR+ system using established correction techniques and complex methodologies.
7. Develop, update, and ensure adherence to validation and pathway tracking Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
8. Take responsibility for validating outpatient clinic outcomes and ensure accurate clock stops are recorded for both outpatient and inpatient services.
9. Adhere to all Trust, Directorate, and Departmental policies and procedures.
10. Undertake any additional duties commensurate with the role as required.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust serves the West Cheshire area and Welsh patients under the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Trust collaborates within the broader Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership, providing services from multiple locations.

The Trust employs a diverse workforce of over 6258 staff members, including temporary bank personnel, and delivers a range of acute emergency and elective services, as well as primary care direct access and obstetric services to a population of approximately 407,000.

Qualifications

Essential

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent. RSA Level 11 or equivalent experience. Business Administration NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an administrative setting.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Proficient in a variety of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel). Understanding of waiting time benchmarks and validation processes.

Desirable

Experience in a fast-paced environment. Background in healthcare settings. Familiarity with Trust IT systems.
